Creating Your Midlife Manifesto: A Powerful Guide to Reclaiming Your Power
My midlife journey has not just been about a physical transformation – it has also been a powerful invitation and need to recreate myself on my own terms.
Creating my own manifesto has been a kind of declaration of my sovereignty and authority, a sacred map of my own becoming, and a love letter to my emerging self.
A self that I call, Audacious SHE!
It is such a potent tool and something I feel that every wild and wise woman should create.
The Power of Declaration
There is magic in declaring your intentions. When we are courageous enough to write down our dreams, when we claim our desires, when we map our becoming—we are not just in the act of planning, we are creating. We are actually calling and summoning our future self into being.
Part 1: Sacred Writing Practices
The Release Writing
First, clear space for what is coming. Take your journal and complete these statements:
– I release my need to…
– I am no longer available for…
– I give myself permission to stop…
– I now choose to let go of…
– The story I’m ready to rewrite is…
Let go of the need for perfection. Let your hand move freely. Don’t edit. Let your truth flow
The Claiming Writing
Now, let’s call in your power. Complete these declarations:
– I am ready to claim…
– My wisdom speaks through…
– My power shows up as…
– My body knows…
– My heart dreams wildly of…
The Vision Writing
Looking forward, declare your becoming:
– In this next chapter, I am…
– My wise woman self knows…
– My power years will be filled with…
– I choose to create…
– My legacy will be…
Part 2: Creating Your Vision Board
This is one of my favourite parts of visioning and creating. Allowing myself to play with colours and materials and pictures and words makes it all come alive in a very different way.
Do away with perfection. Chuck on your favourite music. Light some candles and incense. Let yourself PLAY.
Your vision board will be a beautiful visual manifestation of your manifesto—a sacred mirror reflecting and illustrating your emerging self.

Part 3: Your Power Action Plan
The truth is nothing changes if nothing changes, so to be in active alignment with your own becoming and transform your beautiful vision into reality with these structured steps:
Immediate Actions (Next 30 Days)
Create three lists:
Release Actions
– What needs to end?
– What boundaries need setting?
– What habits need changing?
Nurture Actions
– What needs tending?
– What requires healing?
– What deserves attention?
Creation Actions
– What wants to begin?
– What needs expressing?
– What’s ready to grow?
– What action can I take now?
Inner Circle of Trust, Love & Support
Remember, transformation flourishes with support, so ask yourself:
– Who supports your vision?
– What guidance do you need?
– Where can you find sisterhood?
Resources Required
– What tools do you need?
– What support would help?
Accountability Magic
– How will you track your ongoing progress?
– Who will witness your journey?
– What check-ins serve you?
Your Living & Breathing Document
Far too often we do these one-off deep dives that feel pretty magical and inspiring at the time but serve no real purpose in the deep and lasting transformation of our lives. Which is why we are all here, right?
So, make your manifesto a living and breathing reminder. An integrity checker that will tell you if you are honouring your own becoming or just defaulting to what no longer serves you.
Return to it often:
– At each new moon for refinement
– In moments of doubt for remembering
– During celebrations for gratitude
Remember
Your manifesto isn’t just words on paper—it’s the sacred blueprint of your becoming. Let it be bold. Let it be true. Let it be powerful.
Your vision board isn’t just pretty pictures—it’s the visual prayer of your emergence. Let it inspire. Let it guide. Let it dream.
Your action plan is not just another to-do list—it is the bridge between who you have been and who you are becoming. Let it flow. Let it grow. Let it transform.
